The Kalispel Tribe owns and operates more than a dozen businesses and enterprises in and around the Pend Oreille area.

We believe in building a strong community and our economic development opportunities emphasize our commitment to the land and people.

Our Initiatives

The Camas Foundation aims to promote wellness for the Kalispel people and its neighbors. We want to improve the health—physical, mental, spiritual and social—of our Tribe and the communities in which we live.

Language & Culture

When European settlers arrived in North America, more than 300 languages were spoken. Today, only 175 remain, and many are in danger of disappearing.

To help ensure our Salish language is not lost like so many others, the Camas Foundation has been focused on increasing education and adoption.

ENVIRONMENT

From time immemorial, the Kalispel Tribe has been dedicated stewards to the well-being of the land we all share.

From clean water, to clean air, to rehabilitating local wildlife populations, our Natural Resources Dept., works hard to care for our planet. We regularly partner with many organizations and charities that help in that cause.
